Nestled right on Bloor Street, it’s the perfect place to stop in for a date or a big group to share some tapas and wine. It has all the charm of a restaurant that you know is passionate about food, with years in the business.

You can often find the manager and owner, Mark Azarias, making rounds in the restaurant and taking care of guests. The charm of Azarias is that it has a lounge feel, while also a casual vibe so you can choose your level of comfort based on your dining mood.

The menu has something for everyone, and it’s recommended that you share a few dishes. They have a great selection of salads, appetizers, and a huge selection of vegetarian and seafood meals while also being home to a big selection of meat dishes. Whether you’re looking for a smoked meat poutine, a lobster gnocchi, caviar, or shrimp tacos, there is no way you will go home hungry.

If you check out Azarias on TripAdvisor, you’ll notice that there are a ton of Azarias fans. With a rating of 4.5 stars, people in the Kingsway neighborhood love dining at Azarias and it’s no surprise – the food and service is top notch. It’s so fun to grab a nice bottle of wine and a bunch of share plates, and finding good tapas in the city isn’t always an easy feat! Luckily, there’s a great tapas place right here on Bloor.

The truffle mushroom risotto is to die for, with the Montreal smoked meat sliders being a total favorite for anyone. For Brussel sprout fans, the Brussel sprouts with roasted garlic, parmesan, and tomato are melt in your mouth. Lastly, it’s a great date night over some cheese fondue and a cured meat and cheese board. Pair that with a bottle of wine or some cocktails, and you’ll impress your date for sure.

Azarias is also open to hosting large groups for celebrations, so give them a shout if you have a birthday or anniversary coming up. Given that a lot of the food is tapas style, it makes for a great place to host people with varying tastes and food preferences. There’s no way anyone will leave hungry, given that the menu is home to so many delicious dishes.
