Nominate organizations for the Toronto Community Champion Award

Nominations for the Toronto Community Champion Award are open. Learn more and nominate an organization that made a difference to you and your community during the pandemic by Sunday, January 15, 2023, at 11:59 p.m.

The Stronger TOgether program recognizes impacts of COVID-19 pandemic on all Torontonians with a suite of free and accessible initiatives that honour the resiliency and perseverance of the entire community – particularly those who were disproportionately affected and those who continue to live with the effects of the pandemic.

The program launches on November 26 with a commemorative illumination of Toronto City Hall, which coincides with the annual Cavalcade of Lights presented by Desjardins Financial Group.

Stronger TOgether provides relevant and meaningful ways for Toronto residents to collectively:

  • reflect on how residents have come together and continue to support each other through the pandemic
  • recognize communities that have contributed to the health and solidarity of Toronto residents during the pandemic
  • share stories and learn about the impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on residents, specifically the disproportionate effects on historically marginalized communities
  • remember and collectively mourn all the lives lost by COVID-19 or as a result of the pandemic.

Team Toronto continues to provide COVID-19 vaccinations and has administered a total 7.7 million doses since the start of the vaccination campaign. All COVID-19 vaccine data is available on the Toronto Public Health Vaccine Dashboard.

The program includes the following below, with more programming to be announced in early 2023. Sign up for the Celebrate Toronto eNewsletter to receive email updates about Stronger TOgether programming.Expand AllStronger TOgether accordion panelsCollapse AllStronger TOgether accordion panels.
